Welcome to Dr. Hsiao’s website! Dr. E-Ling Hsiao received her Ph.D. from the program of Instructional Technology at Ohio University in 2010. From 2008 to 2011, she worked at Indiana State University as an instructional designer to assist the faculty members in the development of online and hybrid courses. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum, Leadership, and Technology at Valdosta State University. Dr. Hsiao teaches graduate level courses in instructional technology, which primarily focuses on e-learning, instructional design, multimedia production and technology integration. She is also the coordinator of the Online Teaching Endorsement/Certificate Program at VSU. Her research interests include cognitivism, instructional design, interface design, online learning, problem-based learning and visual literacy. In addition, she currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Research and Theory division at the Association for Educational Communication and Technology (AECT).
